Making more than just music entertainment, Jason Birdwell has made events an experience for years in the Austin area!
Jason Birdwell is musician, worship leader, music teacher, and independent producer, in Burnet, TX. He has performed with Del Castillo, Bob Schneider, Earle Pool Ball and W.S. Fluke Holland (Johnny Cash's bandmates), Charla Corn, The Derailers, Carolyn Wonderland, The Apologetix, Cindy Cashdollar, the Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, Sounds Under Radio, Buzz Cason, Ember, and more.
Jason is currently the contemporary worship leader and director of family ministries at First United Methodist Church of Burnet, TX, as well as the frontman for The Band in Black (www.thebandinblack.com), a Johnny Cash-style band with "Texas attitude". Jason's music teaching history includes being a staff member of Austin-based music school, N2Worship, and the music teacher for Odyssey School in Austin.
Live music in original projects: Atomic Alive, The Lindsay Wells Band, The Charla Corn Band, Three Year Charm and more. He has also performed in cover projects such as The Band in Black and Acoustic Avenue.
Jason received his Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Texas in Austin and specializes in equipping youth to express themselves through music and media, especially in the areas of faith, family and activism.
